I’ve been away from my blog for a long time now and I decided it’s finally time to get back on top of it. A lot has changed since I was last here; I study Animal Management at St Helens College, I’ve made some fantastic friends and I’m learning so much. However having done a degree in photography I have to say that I’m finding the course stupidly easy and slightly frustrating.
I’m also in the process of starting my own photography business. Though this is something I’ve technically been doing for about 5 years, I’m finally seeking business advice and doing it properly. I’m having a new website built with my own domain name and I’m hoping to have this in about 2 weeks time. During this time I will also be completely re-branding the business, re-structuring the prices and hopefully acquiring more customers.
I’ve recently been promoted at the Cats Protection to Media. It is now my job to film the cats and make videos of them which I then upload to the Cats Protection website. This is alot of fun to, however it does take me a while to edit together the footage and I’m just hoping I can keep on top of everything. I’m also throwing the Cats Protection and photography exhibition fundraiser, I’m quite nervous that I won’t raise enough money, but heres hoping. The exhibition features photographs of cats which have now found their forever homes. I’m also worried about that - when I started taking the photos I was using my Canon 400D, but now I have a new camera which is tons better and I’m thinking that maybe I should re-photograph some of the cats, but thats a lot of hassle, so i’m still undecided.
The video above is just some footage from the Cats Protection which I will be using to make a short pledge for money during the fundraiser.
